Adulthood

Being an adult is tough. It’s much, much harder than we are led to believe. Even as an adult you don’t just suddenly have it made. Things don’t just fall in to place overnight. We’re all still searching, trying to find our place in this world irrespective of our age. How many of you know what you want to do in life? What you want to get out of it and by when?

I know how stressful it can be. We’re tasked with making what feel like life-defining decisions, when in truth, we know so little about the world around us. The pressure we put ourselves under can be intense at times.

It is no coincidence that 50% of mental health conditions begin before the age of 14; 75% before we turn 25.

It’s easy to rush life. To get so far ahead of yourself, you lose sight of where you’re going and where you want to be. Sometimes we just need to slow down and take our time. We will reach our destination when the time is right.

    This is well said.

  2. Yes, we often forget to enjoy the scenery along the way. I am almost 40, and I am still searching sometimes. Thanks for sharing.
