Opening up

on

The truth is it doesn’t matter who you open up to – a doctor, a family member, a friend, a complete stranger online – the important thing is to just say something. Give the world a chance to hear your voice. Speak up. Voice your concerns, your worries, and your anxieties.

Opening up to someone, confiding in them the truth that you might otherwise hide from the world is not a weakness; it is an action of great strength. We are brave, prepared to put ourselves in a position where we are vulnerable, in spite of all that has gone before.

Reach out and you will find people there to support you, but they might not be the people you expect.
